Club legacy

History

TASC past and present.

From mats to modern venues

When the club held annual Pre-Turkey Day Obedience Trials at the National Guard Armory in Oak Ridge (2002-2006), members laid mats for a single ring. When the spring shows moved to Central High School, we laid two and sometimes three rings. It was labor intensive, and many members have fond memories of transporting, unrolling, taping, rolling, and hauling heavy rubber mats during June.

Growing shows and new locations

We are thankful to have moved the spring shows to Harriman, where we can show on dirt and leave the mats behind. We now transport ring gates and agility/obedience/rally equipment. In 2017, we added a new series of five conformation shows in Gray, TN, and continued our indoor agility trial in Chattanooga.

Continuing the tradition

Our spring shows have included agility seminars, multiple agility trials, conformation shows, rally shows, and obedience shows. The club continues to build on these traditions with events across Tennessee.
